JUSTIN ERICKSON
Lifelong Cranston resident. Educator. Small business owner. Community leader.
My name is Justin Erickson. Proud husband to Gina, proud dad to Colt, raised in Cranston and committed to our future.
I’m running for Cranston City Council because I believe our city deserves experienced, accessible, and fiscally responsible leadership that always puts residents first. I’m seeking one of Cranston’s Citywide Council seats so I can serve every neighborhood, not just one ward.
A CAREER SPENT SERVING STUDENTS AND FAMILIES
As Athletic Director at Johnston High School and former Athletic Director for Cranston Public Schools’ middle schools, I’ve spent my career serving students, families, coaches, and our community. My work has focused on bringing people together, solving problems, managing budgets responsibly, and creating opportunities that positively impact others.
ROOTED IN COMMUNITY SERVICE
Beyond my professional career, I’ve dedicated countless hours to serving our community through organizations such as Cranston Cares, local youth athletics, charitable initiatives, and numerous civic organizations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I helped co-found Cranston Cares, bringing neighbors together to support families, seniors, veterans, and those facing difficult times.
A BUSINESS OWNER WHO UNDERSTANDS BUDGETS
As a local business owner, I understand the challenges facing small businesses and working families. I know firsthand the importance of balancing a budget, making responsible financial decisions, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.
WHAT I’LL DO ON THE COUNCIL
If elected, I will work every day to strengthen our neighborhoods, support public safety, invest in our parks and recreation programs, advocate for our schools, and bring greater financial responsibility to City Hall. My approach is simple: listen to residents, be transparent, work collaboratively, and always put Cranston first.
My personal motto is HOPE, Helping Other People Every Day. That principle has guided my career, my community service, and my family life, and it will continue to guide me as your Council member.
Together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more financially responsible Cranston for everyone.
